Hi all!
I'm sorry to have lost touch with some of you. The years since we graduated have really just flown by. I can't believe I'm about to turn 26! My life has certainly taken a few detours I never expected. I don't know if you heard, but in fall of 2000 I actually won the Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes. It's true: ten million dollars! Do you know what it takes to go from ten million to zero in two years? Well, I'll tell you: a very messy divorce and not one, but two property destruction lawsuits. I know, I'm as surprised as anyone. At any rate, I'm recovering slowly but surely in my new career as a real estate agent. Once they stop garnishing my wages for alimony payments to my ex-husband Fabricio, I'll be on the road to financial stability.
In other news, I'm absolutely thrilled to share that May 10th brings me to four years sober (keep your fingers crossed!). No new husband, children, or pets to report, although I've recently started stalking Michael Vartan, so that keeps me plenty busy, especially since he lives in LA. (Just kidding! Do I really seem like a stalker?) As far as leisure time is concerned, I picked up guitar a while back and joined a Seal cover band called Crazy--we've gotten a few gigs, nothing major. You can only play "Kiss From a Rose" so many times before you start to wonder if you've picked the right guy to cover. . . drop me a note if you need someone to play a wedding or a party. I'm also taking a yoga class, and am currently shopping for a publisher for my murder-mystery novel, "Two Die Four." Oh, and I just started dating a wonderful guy named Manolo. He's the manager of an Olive Garden here in Van Nuys; we met when I tried to send back some undercooked chicken parmigiana. I'm a little gun-shy after what happened with Fabricio, but Manolo is a patient man. Wedding bells? Your guess is as good as mine!
So, I've got a full plate, but I'm really enjoying my life right now. Once I jump over that last hurdle and finally kick my crystal meth habit, I just know that 2003 is going to be a banner year! Looking forward to that five year reunion!
