mmm-marriage

Whoa. Is it just me, or did our wallpaper just turn from a soothing midnight blue to an almost sickening shade of grandma-and-grandpa's-old-living-room-shag-carpet green? All it's missing is little flecks of pimento orange. Right, well. On to more pressing news...

I'm not sure if you are all aware of a most alarming piece of information that has just recently been brought to my attention via a monthly publication known as "In Style magazine". Are you ready for this? Turns out that Taylor Hanson--the middle Hanson brother, of "The Hansons", as in "mmm-bop"--is married! AND has a child! What? He is but a child himself! ...ok, so he's a year younger than me. But he cannot be married! I just don't understand how it could have happened! Hey, man, do not misunderstand me--I was the furthest away that you could possibly get from hoping that I might be Mrs. Jezzie Hanson. No. I think my difficulty in fathoming the situation is more along the lines of, "If that loser kid is married, then why in hell am I not?" Upon further reflection, I think it is a good point of encouragement for me. Like if I turn it around into, "Wow! If that loser kid can get married, then I sure as hell can." I've already whispered it under my breath a few times today, and I've drawn amazing strength from it. Not that I am fervently scrambling to be married in the near future. But at least by the time I'm 60. That'd be great.

p.s. I reallly enjoyed M's description of her Brit game. Here's a challenge for you: Who's more British: Madonna or Cate Blanchett?
